Miami Medical: ‘An Arm And A Leg’ Preview

Well, CBS might have killed Miami Medical, but at least we get six more episodes before we have to wean ourselves entirely from what has been a fun, enjoyable show.

Put on your best TV-watching outfit and get ready for a fun Miami Medical finale tonight

Tonight we get the season finale, or what would have been the season one finale, An Arm And A Leg. The pilot will re-air next week, and then in June and early July we’ll get to see the remaining five episodes that were filmed, apparently in an odd order that Executive Producer Jeffrey Lieber promised to explain to us.

Here’s the information for tonight’s show — which features an alligator attack on an unwitting group of golfers:

  1. I was wondering if CBS plans to announce that they are going to air the 5 additional from June4-through July 2. On the offical CBS miami medical facebook all the fans seem upset about CBS’s decision. I don’t think they know about the 5 additional episodes. Also does Jeffrey Lieber plan to put this show out on DVD? Also Great blog, I read your review every week since the show started…

  2. Thanks Michelle!
So far, it’s been announced through Jeffrey that they’ll air the five additional, but I think we can count on that. CBS apparently has decided to neglect the MM Facebook site since they canceled the show — so I guess it’s up to us fans to do our own updates. Jeffrey’s unofficial page should still be updated, though. It’s here:

Thanks a bunch for the comment 🙂

    • I couldn’t seem to find a way to make a comment on that page. Suggestions? I was logged in to my FB account, so should have been able to comment, right?

  3. So what’s the change of a Facebook campaign…or some other fan uprising to get the show back, or have another network pick it up? Their numbers were improving = even in that dead slot CBS gave it. Did your conversation with Jeff Lieber include that possibility? Remember it was the producer of Cagney and Lacey that helped to save it from extinction the first time – with a little help from the fans. Also, what’s the chance we can get the first season in a DVD set?

  4. Not really sure there’s much chance of that. Jeffrey didn’t seem to think the show could be saved — unless viewership tripled in the final episodes or something, which is highly unlikely.
I imagine there will be a DVD set – Amazon has it advertised, even though it’s not available.
You have to ‘like’ of the Facebook page before you can comment — I think the button to do that is up top somewhere.
I’ll post any news on a DVD if and when I get it.
    Thanks!
