Miami Medical – Coffee In Bed
So two days down the line and speculation is rampant about what happened between Doctor Proctor (played by Jeremy Northam) and Doctor Zambrano (played by Lana Parrilla) at the end of Miami Medical’s What Lies Beneath episode.
Exhibit A
She was drinking at a bar with Doctor Deleo (played by Mike Vogel), and then the next thing we know, she’s in bed somewhere with Proctor wandering in with coffee.
And for my friends who have been saying that she’s on Proctor’s sofa, well, I beg to differ. This is most certainly a bed:

Here’s the full scene for those of you that want to watch repeatedly and speculate:
Whether she’s in Proctor’s guest room remains to be seen. So far in the show, Proctor doesn’t seem the type to take advantage of a coworker.
Then again, he could have brought coffee over to her place and found the door open or something.
Whatever the reason, she sure looks surprised to find him there.
Uh, Doc Proc? Uh. How did I get here?
So was she drunk and he brought her home to sleep it off? Did something actually happen between them? I guess we won’t know for sure until the next episode.

Dr. Zambrano was definitely drunk, since she woke up not recalling what happened. Maybe she stayed after Dr. Deleo and Serena left, and tossed more drinks down to prove a point to herself that she’s not stiff. And Dr. Proctor was still there at the bar, and took her to her place.
Since they are showing the banter and attraction between Zambrano and Deleo, it could be that Proctor took her home to rest.
Then again, I could be wrong. lol.
But why is she naked?
However, if she was so drunk that she lost all her inhibitions and didn’t know anymore what she was doing, I hope that Proctor didn’t take advantage of her intoxication because I’d find it hard to forgive him. He is not inexperienced and boyish enough to be pardoned for such a thing. 🙂
If they indeed had sex the only way to (halfway) save Proctor’s integrity is to show how it happened, that she was not dead drunk and that it was her who took the initiative.
I still think there will be another explanation …
I hope they won’t offer us the easiest solution: that the whole thing was just a nightmare of Zambrano. In this case I’d interprete the dream as a hint of what her subconscious is longing for. 😉

God if they did the dream thing that would be terrible. But I think the her being drunk and him helping her out scenario seems most likely. I don’t think Doc Proc seems the type to take advantage of her.
Indeed. Moreover it would be a waste of his talents. 🙂 A man like him isn’t in need of taking advantage of an intoxicated woman, I’m sure he is able to seduce any woman who is completely sober. Who if not him? 😉
I’m just mad it wasn’t him in bed naked and her with the coffee.
